Kids Theatre Camp

The Carmel Kids Summer Theater Camp is a week-long summer camp for students ages 8-14. The week will be filled with activities including vocal music, choreography, character development, and more! On the last day of camp, students will perform for the public Disney’s Frozen Kids!

How to Register for Camp

Steps for registration:

1) Save your spot by signing up on this form. (If you want to register multiple children, you will need to fill out multiple spots) We will accept registrations until April 19, 2024 or until spots run out.

2) In February, you will receive an email inviting you to complete your student registration and submit payment for camp.

3) If your student wants a speaking/solo role, they will have to submit a 30-60 second video audition.

Early Bird Tuition: $249 per camper (paid on or before April 1)

General Tuition: $299 per camper (paid after April 1)

Auditions are optional. If you would like to have a speaking part or solo, you must submit an audition video. Those who decide not to audition will still get to experience all that camp has to offer – singing, dancing, acting – and perform in the production. Campers who are given speaking roles and solos are expected to arrive at camp with lines and music memorized.

All photos and videos taken by Carmel Theatre and Film shall remain the property of Carmel Theatre and Film and may be used in promotional materials. Carmel Theatre and Film  is not liable for accident or injury during camp

How to Submit Your Audition Video

Follow the Audition Script here, this will be your template to use to record your video.

Read one of these auditions sides in your video. You only need to read one.

Have a friend or parent read for the other roles. Once you finish the reading, sing a short section of a song that shows off your singing voice.

While recording your video, make sure you are in a quiet, well-lit location, and you are filming horizontally.

Once your video is recorded, you can email it directly to mcassidy@ccs.k12.in.us. If the file is too large to attach, you can upload it first to YouTube or Google Drive and share the link in an email to mcassidy@ccs.k12.in.us. Just make sure the link is shared so we can view it! Here is an example audition one of our high school theatre students made.

Audition videos must be submitted no later than April 15, 2023. Call backs will be in-person April 23, 2024 from 4:15-6:00pm at Carmel High School in the Studio Theater. Enter through door 1 and turn right. The theatre is at the end of the hall on the left.

We will be distributing scripts and rehearsal tracks shortly after casting to make sure our speakers and soloists have their lines and music memorized by camp.
