CARMEL, IN — Carmel High School’s award-winning theatre program will present the classic musical comedy Anything Goes May 14–16, 2026 at the Carmel High School Auditorium. Tickets are available now at CarmelDrama.org.
Featuring a cast of more than 60 student performers and accompanied by a full live orchestra, the production brings Cole Porter’s beloved Broadway hit to life with dazzling tap numbers, big ensemble scenes, and timeless songs including “I Get a Kick Out of You,” “You’re the Top,” and the show-stopping title number, “Anything Goes.”
The 2026 production holds special significance for the Carmel community. This spring marks the 50th anniversary of the first time Anything Goes was produced at Carmel High School in 1975. In recognition of this milestone, the theatre department is inviting alumni cast members from the 1975, 1992, and 2003 productions to return for opening night on May 14. Alumni will be honored at a special reception prior to the performance and will receive complimentary tickets to celebrate the legacy of the show across generations of Carmel performers.
“Anything Goes has been a part of Carmel High School’s theatre history for half a century,” said Co-Director Maggie Cassidy “We’re excited to bring together past and present performers to celebrate the incredible tradition of musical theatre at Carmel.”
Set aboard the luxury ocean liner S.S. American, Anything Goes is a fast-paced romantic comedy filled with mistaken identities, tap-dancing sailors, and larger-than-life characters. With its high-energy choreography and iconic score, the musical remains one of the most beloved shows in the American theatre repertoire.
The Carmel High School production will showcase the talents of students across the performing arts program, including actors, musicians, technicians, and designers, all working together to create a full-scale musical theatre experience.
